Abstract:
Investment is an important factor in the economic development of each country, region or other forms of
territorial division. In the modern world, the Internet plays an important role in attracting them. It is
currently the fastest form of communication with the world. Therefore, it is obvious that this form of reaching
potential investors should be used, among others, by state and local government administration units. The
aim of the article is to answer the question how and to what extent the local government units try to attract
investors using their official websites. Do they devote a lot of attention to this form by preparing official
presentations of cities, or do they treat this method only marginally. The information will be analyzed based
on the websites of municipalities from two neighboring counties located on the Polish-Czech border. These are
the Nysa and Jesenik counties. The research results will also help determine to what extent individual
municipalities can verbalize investment needs in the public presentation [offer].
