profits. Government of India persuades the leading Business Corporations which either have a net worth of
Rs. 500 Crore or a turnover of Rs.1000 Crore or a net profit of Rs.5 Crore , to spend at least 2 % of its
average net profit during the preceding three financial years on CSR activities. Kohinoor Technical Institute
(KTI) as a Non Government Organization (NGO) helps the companies to implement CSR projects in rural
and socially underprivileged communities. KTI has enabled a number of corporate organizations to conduct
CSR activities related to Education & Skill Development, Healthcare & Sanitation, Rural Development
Projects and Environment. This research paper attempts to study the CSR projects conceptualized and
implemented by KTI for the leading corporate organizations. By CSR projects, KTI has helped the
underprivileged communities in skill training, enterprise development and employability enhancement
activities.
