International Training Programme On Industrial, Infrastructure & Sustainable Project Preparation & Appraisal

Abstract

International Training Programme sponsored by ITEC Division of the Ministry of External Affairs, Govern:nent of India entitled "INDUSTRIAL, INFRASTRUCTURE AND SUSTAINABLE PROJECT PREPRARATION & APPRAISAL" for six weeks, was conducted successfully, which commenced on 04th March, 2019 and concluded on 12th April, 2019, at EDII Campus, Gandhinagar, Gujarat State. The objective of the programme is to improve and update knowledge of officials in the areas of project preparation & appraisal techniques; decision-making process in the sector of industrial, infrastructure & sustainable opportunities that would lead to improved viability, returns and effective investment decisions. This 6 week programme comprised of 5 weeks classroom inputs and 4 days of study tour. We conducted two industry visits 1) ATIRA, Ahmedabad and 2) GIFT City, Gandhinagar. Brochure of the programme is attached at Annexure-I. There are total 19 participants from 11 countries working with various departments in their respective countries, attended the programme. The profile of participants is attached at Annexure-II. Programme Schedule was designed / developed for five weeks, considering background of the participants and their role in Project Preparation and Appraisal and inputs were provided to the participants by the EDII Faculties & external expert resource persons.
