Several countries have transformed their economies by developing their tourism potential. Tourism has greater capacity to generate large scale employment either through self employment or generating additional income sources for the skilled and the unskilled. Tourism in rural area is a very important factor, which can positively influence regional development through entrepreneurial efforts of farmers or landlords. Although, in India rural market is still unexploited and has enormous untapped potential, Agri-Tourism as a specialized form of rural tourism in the context of rural market has come up in an innovative manner through the endeavours of local people by providing international hospitality in desi style in their farms. Developing tourism in rural areas increases participation of the poor and brings wider benefits.
