Agripreneurial Barriers to Fish Farming in Manipur: An Empirical Study

The studyalso attempts to make an empirical analysis on the impact of agripreneurial barriers on productivity of fish farming. This descriptive research is conducted on 370 agripreneurs of Manipur. Stratified random sampling is used to collect the primary data. Cronbach's Alpha was used to test the reliability of the 10 variables. Statistical tools like descriptive statistic, correlation, factor analysis and multiple regression analysis have been used.The study reveals that agripreneurial barriers in fish farming has positive correlations with the knowledge of fish farming whereas barriers in fish farming has negative correlation with size of family, longevity in fish farming and productivity of fish. Multiple regression shows that some personal characteristics of agripreneurs has an impact on barriers in fish farming and barriers in fish farming also predict the productivity of fish in the study area.
