The whole effort of gendering development has been endowed with the postulation that empowering women will lead to wholesome development of the society. In fact, women have the entrepreneurial capacity to actually save and borrow and alter the grim irony of any situation. It is also established that when they formed into homogeneous self-help groups with credit-provisions, they are capable of lifting themselves out of poverty. The presence of women groups, who display their entrepreneurship through micro-credit support, can be regarded as one of the major contributions to the whole rural communities. The spirit of these groups to focus on micro-credit agenda and develop their standards of living is enormous which further catalyzes their creativity and commitment. To call self-help group as a self-help movement that is successfully eradicating poverty through entrepreneurship, would be no exaggeration.
